Serena Scapagnini’s artistic practice explores the relationship between physical and spiritual dimensions, shaped by a sense of wonder toward the rhythms of perception, memory formation, and dissolution.

Scientific collaboration forms an integral part of her research, including Synapses, developed in collaboration with Professor Michael Higley at the Yale School of Medicine. This short film, directed by Raffaele Rossi, traces the dialogue between neuroscience and artistic practice at the core of the project.
